Advanced Kiosks Releases State of the Art Interactive Display

April 3, 2007 By

Advanced Kiosks announced today the release of their newest multimedia kiosk -- the Compact-Power. This kiosk is 2 3/4 inches thick with a 17-inch touch screen monitor, stereo speakers, optional Wi-Fi and Credit Card Reader. It comes standard with a 40Gig hard drive and 512 Meg of RAM.

The Compact-Power was designed for the real estate, small business and building lobby markets. It is FCC and UL compliant and patents are pending on the kiosk design and mounting bracket. "The great thing about this kiosk is that it has all the features of a standard kiosk, with a larger 17-inch touch screen monitor but can be mounted and locked to a wall in minutes. With this low price, compact size and flexibility, our customers are using it for ways we never planned," says Howard Horn, president of Advanced Kiosks. "We have one customer who does horse shows; he uses several Compact-Power kiosks at these shows where their customers interact with the kiosk to find out about future events and more detailed information. These customers can also leave their contact information by using the touch screen keyboard."

"We are very excited with this leap of technology for the interactive and self service market. Based on our marketing this is the kiosk that the market place has needed. Our development team worked very hard to meet the size and price goals of this product. The Compact-Power kiosk is priced under $3,000.00, and by using our patent pending mount bracket it can be securely installed and working in minutes."

Advanced Kiosks is a manufacturer of interactive kiosks and multimedia software. They have a full line of multimedia kiosks products. Projects they have done include the Boston Subway informational kiosk system, and last year they finished a DVD rental kiosk for an undisclosed customer.

The Future of the Desktop in Government

Until recently, there was no alternative to the familiar desktop computer, and its expensive upgrades and maintenance requirements. For cash-strapped local governments, the desktop computer is quickly becoming an unsustainable option for future progress.
