Boingo Offers More Coverage with Expanded European Roaming with The Cloud

Boingo Wireless, Inc. has expanded its partnership with The Cloud, Europe's neutral-host Wi-Fi network operator, to enable Boingo's retail customers, and customers of Fiberlink and Verizon Business Access, to access all European locations of The Cloud through the Boingo Roaming System. The companies' previous roaming agreement covered only The Cloud's hot spots in the United Kingdom.

The agreement announced today gives Boingo customers access at over 8,500 The Cloud locations across Europe, including roughly 1,500 hot spots in Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and The Netherlands. This includes municipal hotzones in the UK, Germany, the Nordic region and Amsterdam in The Netherlands.

The Cloud offers Wi-Fi coverage at more than 8,500 locations across the UK, Germany, the Nordics and The Netherlands. onth. The Cloud has also recently begun deploying city wide and city zone Wi-Fi networks, including Canary Wharf, the City of London, and nine other UK cities including Manchester and Edinburgh, the City of Stuttgart in Germany and Amsterdam in The Netherlands.

"Our original partnership with The Cloud helped to kick off Boingo's European network, and with this expansion we're able to solidify the Boingo presence in several key regions to help us serve a growing number of customers," said Luis Alfonso Serrano, director Europe for Boingo.

"The Cloud is the global pioneer of open network public Wi-Fi, ensuring that every customer is able to access their chosen network and application from the thousands of public Wi-Fi locations we operate. Boingo retail customers are now able to benefit from seamless access to the Boingo experience on The Cloud network across Europe," said Bobby Sarin, COO, The Cloud.
