California Will Decide on Voting System Certification by August 3

University of California results to be delivered today.

California Secretary of State Debra Bowen's Top to Bottom Review of Voting Systems moves ahead today at 2 p.m., when  the results of the University of California's independent review teams -- led by computer science experts David Wagner and Matthew Bishop -- are delivered to the Secretary of State. According to a release from Bowen's office, the results will be posted to the Secretary of State's Web site, and Bowen will discuss them with the media. A public hearing is scheduled for July 30, and Bowen says she will make her decision on system certification on or before August 3.
