Nashville Airport Authority Pilots Mobile Video Surveillance

Solution works hand-in-hand with existing CCTV systems, can be deployed in vehicles or be used as a body-worn video.

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) has agreed to participate in a pilot program deployment of Pixaya's wireless mobile video surveillance product, SurvayaCam. As part of the program, MNAA will deploy and test SurvayaCam in various surveillance tasks within the airport, which is covered by a state-of-the-art wireless mesh network.

"We are very pleased that the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority has agreed to participate in a pilot program deployment of SurvayaCam," said Thomas J. Mazzarisi, chairman & CEO of Pixaya LLC. "SurvayaCam is an extremely flexible wireless video surveillance tool that solves the inherent limitations of fixed CCTV surveillance systems. It can work hand-in-hand with existing CCTV systems, be deployed in vehicles or be used as a body-worn solution enabling organizations to take their surveillance program directly to any security threat. We are looking forward to presenting SurvayaCam to other airport authorities in the U.S and abroad," continued Mazzarisi.

SurvayaCam, the company's wireless mobile video surveillance product can be used as a body-worn or fixed installation solution, which allows users to record surveillance video locally to a handheld computer while simultaneously streaming the live video back to a central command area, via multiple network types such as Wi-Fi, EVDO and HSDPA, where it can be monitored in real-time and archived.
