The first South Dakota Health Information Technology Summit will be held in Sioux Falls at the Ramkota Hotel on August 23, 2007. The Summit is sponsored by the South Dakota Departments of Health and Social Services and is intended for those working on local or regional health information exchange and for those planning or implementing health information technology. The content is relevant for professionals working in clinics, hospitals, long-term care, public health, health systems, managed care, and information systems plus many others.
The purpose of the Summit is to showcase how state, regional, and national e-Health initiatives are working to empower consumers, inform and connect clinicians, and improve health care delivery.
