Universal Detection Technology to Demonstrate Anthrax Detection Technology to HAZMAT Units

Los Angeles County Fire Department HAZMAT Unit first to receive demonstration.

Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB: UDTT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and provider of counter-terrorism products and services, has announced that it will be demonstrating its Anthrax detection technology as well as biohazard stimulant technology to the Los Angeles County Fire Department HAZMAT Unit. The HAZMAT unit, one of the largest in the country, responds to over 2,600 hazardous material emergency incidents per year.

The company recently announced the fulfillment of its first-ever purchase order from the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground is a major range and testing facility, and the primary chemical and biological defense testing center for the military.

"We plan to use the demonstration as a litmus test for our detection device," said Amir Ettehadieh, CEO of Universal Detection Technology. "The next step is to display our Anthrax Detection technology to HAZMAT units throughout the country," he added.
