ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced the addition of several enhancements to Foglight®, its industry-leading application performance monitoring product. Enriched features in the latest version of Foglight simplify application support and IT operations roles and drastically shorten time-to-value across mixed physical and virtual systems, multiple datacenters, third-party tools and complex deployments.
"Literally within an hour, Foglight made the process of collecting and categorizing our data much easier," reported Brian Garavuso, executive vice president of national marketing and chief information officer, Diamond Resorts International®. "Most similar tools require an extensive learning process where you have to dedicate a top-notch staff member to figure it out and get it all up and running, but Foglight worked seamlessly right out of the box."
In this new edition of Foglight, the expanded User Experience Management capabilities provide businesses with the ability to manage online revenue and conversion rates in real time, analyze trends in customer buying patterns and understand how application usability, performance, functionality and content affect conversion rates.
"This recent update to Foglight is our latest step toward unifying IT and the business," said Carl Eberling, vice president and general manager, virtualization and monitoring business unit, Quest Software. "The solution helps IT effectively manage the performance delivered to users, while at the same time helping the business learn user interests, buying patterns and preferences."

This Digital Communities white paper highlights discussions with IT officials in four counties that have adopted shared services models. Our aim was to learn about the obstacles these governments have faced when it comes to shared services and what it takes to overcome those roadblocks. We also spoke with several members of the IT industry who have thought long and hard about these issues. The paper offers some best practices for shared government-to-government services, but also points out challenges that government and industry still must overcome before this model gains widespread adoption.
