Accela Extends Platform with Government Outreach Acquisition

Through Accela Citizen Relationship Management, the company says it will support all Government Outreach solutions and their customers will now have access to the Civic Platform.

Accela announced Monday it has acquired Government Outreach, a company based in Pleasanton that specializes in citizen relationship management (CRM) and code enforcement solutions for cities and counties.

 
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
 
Accela said the acquisition is its first in the CRM segment and will bring more features to Accela’s Civic Platform, which government agencies can use to manage land and assets, legislation, licensing, recreation and resources, right of way, and environmental health and safety. California customers include Anaheim, Pasadena and Stanislaus County.
 
Through Accela Citizen Relationship Management, the company says it will support all Government Outreach solutions and their customers will now have access to the Civic Platform. The solution will include a configurable mobile app, website and knowledge base as well as an agency employee portal.

Government Outreach, a hosted solutions provider, has offerings for public communications and outreach, customer service, code enforcement.
