Reports of Intimidation and Electronic Problems Surface at Polls Across the U.S.
Voters in some states encountered isolated problems with electronic voting machines and delays in the opening of polling stations, but they also reported many instances of voter intimidation and misinformation. New York Times

Machines Rejected Angry Voters' Ballots
Machines rejected ballots across the state because of voters' tempers, according to Madison County, Ala., Probate Judge Tommy Ragland. "Voters are so angry, they're taking their anger out with the ballot and the pencil," Ragland said. "They're writing so hard, it's poking through and the machine is kicking it out."  Huntsville Times

Monitors Watch City's Electronic Voting
For 15 hours on Tuesday, New York City may more closely resemble an emerging democracy than the world-class metropolis it makes itself out to be. Election monitors will greet voters across the city. Phone lines have been set up to field questions about electronic voting machines. And Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, fearful of widespread confusion, has urged residents to call 311 and to post complaints on Twitter. New York Times

Electronic "Vote Flipping" a Concern
Early monitoring of voting around the country is raising concerns about electronic voting machines in key battleground states -- especially in Pennsylvania, where machines are registering Democratic votes instead of Republican, and vice versa. Fox News

New Florida Election Website has Hip Features
The Division of Elections results website has some new bells and whistles for the 2010 vote. Statewide results are reported on the Florida Election Watch site. It's not as immediate as individual county supervisors of election sites (good for local races), but it's comprehensive (good for multi-county jurisdiction) and includes new features. Voter Fraud? There's an App for That
Worried that you've been a victim of voter fraud? Sadly, there's an app for that. Concerned by growing reports of voter fraud before the elections, Austin James decided to do something. James, the director of new media for American Majority Action, released Voter Fraud for the iPhone, Blackberry and Android platforms about a week ago. Since then, more than 8,000 people have downloaded the app -- and he's received 50 reports of election impropriety. Fox News
